Deacon Cindy J. Cordes-Eversole and Rev. Kerry B. Eversole

Pastor Kerry

Kerry graduated from high school in South Windsor, Connecticut. He earned a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1974, and a master of science degree in aerospace engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, in 1976. He worked as an engineer scientist specialist with McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Company, Huntington Beach, California, from 1976 to 1984, before entering Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary (now simply Luther Seminary), St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated in 1988 with a master of divinity degree. His first call was to a multi-point parish in Watford City, North Dakota serving as an associate pastor. He was called to Lanesboro, Minnesota in 1996 to serve as pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Union Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Lanesboro. He currently serves as pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Fountain Lutheran Church in nearby Fountain.

Deacon Cindy

Cindy graduated from high school in Northfield, Minnesota. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and religious studies from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, in 1986, and then entered Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary. She graduated in 1988 with a master of arts degree in youth ministry. Her first call was to the same multi-point parish in Watford City, ND as Pastor Kerry, serving as an associate in ministry. She joined Pastor Kerry in Lanesboro in 1996 to serve as an associate in ministry of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Union Prairie Lutheran Church. She currently serves as Deacon of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Fountain Lutheran Church in nearby Fountain.

OUR FAMILY

Kerry and Cindy were married in 1989. They have six children: two girls and 4 boys. Their oldest daughter graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, Twin Cities Campus, in May of this year and is currently employed by the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Her twin brother Nathan will graduate from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in May 2021 after delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He is in the Aerospace Sciences Department majoring in Commercial Aviation. Twin sons Matthew and Aaron are juniors in college this fall. Matt is at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, majoring in computer science while Aaron is at Minnesota State University, Mankato, majoring in accounting. Their youngest son Ben is a senior in high school and their youngest daughter Sarah is a sophomore in high school this year. They reside in Lanesboro.
